Pr. George's Man Convicted Of Stalking Ex-Wife

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Prince George's County man has been found guilty of stalking his ex-wife and sending her threatening and profane emails.

Prosecutors announced Thursday that Michael Anthony Johnson has been convicted of stalking, reckless endangerment and other crimes. He's scheduled to be sentenced next month.

Prosecutors accused the Hyattsville man of sending his ex-wife vulgar and threatening emails, including saying that he was going to rape her and kill her daughters, during a 45-day span last year.

They also say he set up fake online profiles pretending to be her and inviting men to come to the house to have sex with her.

Johnson testified during his trial and denied having sent the messages. Prosecutors say all the threatening emails stopped after his arrest.
