Dan Connolly who covers the Oriole's for the Baltimore Sun joined Vinny and Rob this afternoon to talk Baltimore baseball.

Rob begins the interview with discussing the tremendous start of Chris Davis. Connolly said he that he was impressed with Davis's new approach at the plate with his strike zone discipline and his ability to hit difficult pitches.

Vinny asked Connolly about the budding superstar in Manny Machado. Connolly said Manny was the biggest surprise for his age and he is on record pace for doubles. Connolly also said that this many doubles at such a young age usually leads to more home runs two or three years down the road.

Rob then asked about the Oriole's pitching. Connolly commented that the rotation is a collection of number four starters and that it will not work in the playoffs. Connolly also stated that Tillman is maturing, however, and seems to be the bright spot in the rotation.

Vinny followed with asking about Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy in the minors. Dan said unless Miguel Gonzalez goes on paternity leave Gausman will start at Triple A Norfolk on Tuesday and Bundy is supposed to throw 25 balls from 90 feet today.
