WHITE MARSH, Md. (WJZ)– Two people were killed in an early Friday morning crash on eastbound Route 40.

Officers discovered that the car left the roadway and struck a tree.

All lanes are closed on eastbound MD 40 prior to White Marsh. Drivers are urged to take alternate routes and use the Maryland 511 service for traffic updates.
The Crash Team is investigating.
