“I’ve gone through the era’s, I mean all the way back to 125 years ago and you get the best of the best at Muirfield.”

Glenn then asked John who he thinks will this week’s tournament.

“You and I are both Tiger fans, but I got Phil Mickelson this week.”

John commented on Mickelson’s decision to not use a driver this weekend.

“Phil has designed this one iron loft with some heavy weighting on the bottom to create spin and trajectory. If he has that club or some other club like it…where would he even need that driver?”

“When he took it out at the US Open I knew he lost his mind. Now in this situation oh yeah it makes perfect sense. ”

Then John commented on Tiger Woods’ injury status.

“As you know, as you get older your definition of 100% changes.”

“He may be 100% for 37 years old but he’s not 100% for 27 years old.”

“I don’t ever discount Tiger’s chances though.”
