WEATHER BLOG: Hello, August!

Well, the heavy rainfall is now training over and east of the Chesapeake Bay and this looks to continue through early Thursday afternoon. The front is still well off to the west, so we are not in the clear in the city as there can be a shower or thunderstorm into the evening before the front passes. Any shower or thunderstorm can still contain some heavy downpours.

As a result, some of the pockets of heavier rain that occur may lead to some minor flooding issues. All in all, the general rainfall forecast for Thursday and early night is calling for between 0.75 and 1.00 inches.

Temperatures should be within a couple of degrees of 80 because even though it should be fairly cloudy, it won't rain the entire day. With all of the rain ending quickly from west to east by early Thursday evening (around 7 p.m.), some places will encounter partial clearing overnight.
