Teens Caught In Home With Stolen Candy

PUMPHREY, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested three teenagers who broke into a Pumphrey home and brought in candy, popcorn and cupcakes stolen from another residence.

Police were alerted after a neighbor called the homeowner about a burglary in progress about 3:15 p.m. Thursday. Officers found that the home had been broken into and found a 13-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy inside.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that police also found bags of Starbursts, Twizzlers, mints and boxes of popcorn and cupcakes, which the homeowner said were not his.

Investigators learned that the goodies had been stolen from a home two blocks away.

The teenagers are all charged with burglary.
