Whoops! Robocall From Mayor Rawlings-Blake Went Out To Thousands

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Bad robocall. Friday morning, thousands of Baltimore residents got a wake-up call from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

Just before 6 a.m. Friday, a back-to-school rally robocall went out by mistake.

Via Twitter, the mayor apologized for the glitch.

According to WJZ's media partner, The Baltimore Sun, less than 5,000 calls went out before they were stopped at 6 a.m.

City schools officials say they are investigating what caused the error.
