Boy, 8, Hurt After Go-Kart Crashes Into Steel Post

DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County fire officials say an 8-year-old boy was seriously injured in a go-kart crash in Davidsonville.

County fire department spokesman Michael Pfaltzgraff tells The Capital that the crash occurred along Davidsonville Road on Sunday afternoon. He says the boy crashed a go-kart into a steel post.

Pfaltzgraff says the boy suffered a head injury and was taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore with injuries that were believed to be serious but not life threatening.
