Md. Bound Plane Intercepted In Restricted Airspace Around D.C.
INDIAN HEAD, Md. (AP) -- NORAD says a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter has intercepted a small plane that was out of communication in restricted airspace around Washington.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command says the Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopter intercepted the plane around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
NORAD says the plane was directed to land at Maryland Airport in Indian Head, Md.
