Cardin To Talk About Cuts At NRC
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Sen. Ben Cardin is scheduled to talk about budget cuts at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The senator will be visiting the commission on Monday.
Cardin says that because of the budget battle in Washington, the NRC has seen a $52 million cut in its fiscal year 2013 budget.
Cardin, D-Md., says lawmakers need to come up with a realistic budget before the nation faces even more dire cuts in the next fiscal year.
