Heath Evans joins Zinno

Always controversial NFL analyst from the NFL Network, Heath Evans, joined Zinno to discuss the Ravens outlook for 2013. Evans, who has been critical of Joe Flacco in the past, is starting to change his tune. "I'll take Joe Flacco before I take Tony Romo," said Evans. He praised the Ravens defense for looking stronger this year than last and said that was evident in the pre-season.

The Ravens offense has struggled a bit in the pre-season, but Evans said it really isn't cause for concern. "I think with the stuff that Joe (Flacco) is having to deal with and coach Caldwell is having to deal with, it's normal wrinkles," said Evans. He also added that the offense needs to get in sync or it could be a tough start for the defending champs.

There are a lot of concerns about the Ravens second wide receiver. Evans praised the growth of Torrey Smith, "The one thing you love about Torrey is consistent growth. You see it not only route running, but his understanding of the coverages flashed in front of his eyes." Evans also thinks that the addition of veteran Brandon Stokley will be big for the Ravens.
