Md. Man Dead After Motorcycle Crashes Into Pole

DAMASCUS, Md. (WJZ)— Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Damascus.

It happened Friday around 11:35 p.m. in the 9500-block of Hawkins Creamery Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 2012 Harley Dyna Glide Switchback motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Hawkins Creamery Road.  For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole. The driver was thrown from motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim is identified as 53-year-old Kenneth Alan Burch, of Clarksburg.
