Teacher In Md. Charged With Sex Abuse Of Minor

KENSINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police have arrested a high school teacher they say discussed sex acts with a female student in person and by email.

Richard Brian Shemer, 50, of Potomac was arrested Wednesday. He has been charged with one count of sex abuse of minor and is being held on $250,000 bond.

Officers say Shemer, at teacher at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, and a student there had conversations about sex in Shemer's classroom and continued the conversation by email.

Police say the students' parents discovered the emails and contacted authorities.
