Frederick County Man Dies In Single-Car Accident

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A 19-year-old Frederick County man has died after the car he was driving left the road and rolled over several times.

Police believe the driver, identified as 19-year-old Matthew Lloyd Shook of Adamstown, was speeding at the time of the accident and that alcohol may have been a factor.

Police say the single-car occurred just before 3 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 340/15, west of Mount Zion Road.

Authorities say the car left the road and overturned several times. Shook was flown by helicopter to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
