HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — It’s caterpillar contest time in Hagerstown.

The Hagers-Town Town and Country Almanack opens its annual contest Thursday, Oct. 10. The nation’s second-oldest almanac has for more than 30 years of tradition collecting woolly bear caterpillars for their supposed ability to forecast winter weather.
