Cambridge Man Gets 28 Years For Attempted Murder Of Federal Officer

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Cambridge man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for the attempted murder of a federal officer during a shootout.

Tayvon Dobson, 23, was sentenced Thursday by a federal judge in Baltimore. Dobson had previously pleaded guilty in August to shooting at law enforcement officers.

According to his plea, Dobson fired numerous gunshots on law enforcement officers who went to his home on Feb. 29, 2012 to serve a warrant. One officer was shot in the shoulder.

Calls to Dobson's attorneys were not immediately returned Thursday.
