Md. Delegate Myers To Run For County Commissioner

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Republican state Delegate LeRoy Myers is leaving the Maryland legislature to run for Washington County commissioner next year.

The Herald-Mail newspaper of Hagerstown reported Friday, Nov.1 that Myers' office says he will make the announcement Monday afternoon in Clear Spring.

Myers announced in May that he would not seek a fourth term in the House of Delegates.

He was elected to the state legislature in a 2002 upset victory over longtime House Speaker Casper Taylor.
