WEATHER BLOG: Chilly Start ... Followed By A Nice Warmup!

#mdwx: Clouds have been on the increase throughout the afternoon Monday with skies sitting mostly cloudy to overcast across the region.

This extra dose of cloud cover will not help us warm up as we head into the latter part of the afternoon.

Highs Monday will top out in the upper 40s for most spots. The last time we had a high temp below 50 was back in April of this year!

Cloud cover will be the main issue for the next few days as low clouds from the east/southeast and high clouds from the west/southwest will come into play.

We will be turning mild as the week progresses, eventually topping out near 70 degrees at BWI Thursday.

Our next chance for rain will follow behind the warmup Thursday, likely starting out with a bit of drizzle in the morning and then chances for off-and-on rainfall throughout the day. Cooler air will move in by the weekend with highs topping out in the mid 50s.
