LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ)—An Anne Arundel County man is facing child pornography charges.

Police say Stephen Edward Evans, 48, was receiving and trading child pornography online at his Linthicum home in the 200-block of Twin Oaks Road.

Detectives executed a search and seizure warrant at his home and recovered several computers, phones, and $1,680 in counterfeit money.

More than 1,900 images and videos of child pornography were recovered from electronic devices. Forensic analysis confirmed the images recovered were being shared and distributed to other recipients online.

Evans turned himself into the Maryland State Police on Tuesday and has since been released on $20,000 bail.

He is charged with distribution of child porn, possession of child porn and possession of forged currency.
