Md. Man Shot By Police Still In Critical Condition
BRUNSWICK, Md. (AP) -- A hospital spokeswoman says a Brunswick man shot by a city police officer remains in critical condition at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says Brunswick Police Officers Bryce McGuire fired six shots at 56-year-old Charles Dinterman Wednesday night after Dinterman pointed a handgun at him.
McGuire and another officer had gone to Dinterman's home in response to a domestic disturbance call.
The sheriff's office is investigating the case. A spokesman there says McGuire graduated from the Frederick Police Academy on Oct. 25.
He's on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
