10-Year-Old Girl Struck By Car In Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frederick are investigating a traffic collision that injured a 10-year-old girl who was crossing the street.

It happened Monday evening in the intersection of Old Camp Road and Havilland Place.

Police say the girl was crossing Old Camp Road when a car heading south struck her. She was flown to Children's National Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated.

No charges have been filed.
