Md. Woman Charged After Baby's Left At Hotel Desk
LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County say they're charging a Hagerstown woman with child neglect after her 2-month-old baby was left in the care of a hotel clerk.
Leah Ellison, 32, remained locked up with bond set at about $25,000 Thursday, two days after her arrest at the Microtel in Linthicum. Online court records do not list a defense attorney.
Police say they were called to the hotel early Tuesday morning after Ellison's female roommate gave the baby to a desk clerk and left the premises.
Ellison was arrested when she came to the lobby. She told police she had left the child with her roommate while she visited a friend in another room.
Child Protective Services took custody of the baby.
