After taking a week off for the Christmas holidays, I am ready to get back to the football picks this weekend. Thankfully, the bowl season is upon us and I can mix in a college game or two
Going back a couple of weeks, because of the schedule, I only had one college game to choose from. Fortunately, I chose wisely as I picked Navy (-12.5) who rolled over Army 34-7.READ MORE: Ovechkin Scores 27th Goal, Capitals Beat Jets In Overtime
Of the five NFL games I selected, I was right on three of the them. The Bears (even) came from behind to knock off the Browns 38-31. The Colts (-5.5) put a 25-3 spanking on the hapless Texans. For my final victory, the Chiefs (-4.5) went to Oakland and lambasted the Raiders 56-31.
I learned the hard lesson of picking the Jags (+1) who lost at home to the Bills 27-20. Quite frankly, I was very surprised by my other loss as I picked the previously hot Eagles (-5.5) over the Vikings. Well, the Vikings got nasty with Philly as they won going away, 48-30.
So, for the week, I was 4-2.
For the year, I am 47-41-2.READ MORE: Michigan Gets First Win In A Month, Slams Maryland 83-64
