Food Donations To Cut Library Fines In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore City's public libraries are offering patrons a way to reduce their library fines through canned food donations.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library system says patrons who donate canned food items during the month of January can get a dollar off any library fine for each can of food that's donated. Patrons can drop off the cans at the circulation desk of any library branch.

All proceeds benefit the Maryland Food Bank.
