Frank Remesch is the General Manager of the Baltimore Arena.

Frank joined Ed & Steve to talk about UFC 172 featuring Jonny “Bones” Jones at the Baltimore Arena on April 26th.

Steve asked Frank how did you get UFC 172 at the Arena. Frank said it was a long process that started back in 2007 or 2008 before it was even legalized here with him calling UFC to start the process of booking.

Ed asked Frank how did you convince UFC to have an event in Baltimore on the level of ones in Europe and Brazil and Vegas. Frank said the biggest thing was perseverance, and history of having the Rolling Stones and having Caps and Wizards games downtown all add in to UFC deciding to give Baltimore an event.

Frank also added that tickets will go on sale February 7th but they have not talked directly about ticket prices yet or capacity. Frank also said that the rest of the card is not finalized yet and that he is hoping all the training will take place in Baltimore to help those who have helped the arena.

Frank also said that the mayor is wanting to get a new arena for downtown Baltimore, but that there is probably more going towards Convention Center expansion than a new 18,000 seat arena.
