Maryland State Police say there were six crashes Friday morning on the bridge across the Nanticoke River between Dorchester and Wicomico counties near Vienna. No details are available about any injuries in the crashes.

State Highway Administration spokesman Dave Buck says there wasn’t any precipitation so officials suspect a flash freeze on the bridge. He says trucks have salted the bridge and it has reopened in both directions.
