Metro To Open Early For Weekend Cherry Blossom Run

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro will open two hours early this weekend for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and 5K run-walk.

Metro says it will open at 5 a.m. Sunday, the day of the marathon. The first runners will start at 7:20 a.m.

Metro says four stations are within a mile of the start line near the Washington Monument. Those stations are: Smithsonian, L'Enfant Plaza, Metro Center and Archives.
