Teen Arrested In Shooting Outside National Zoo

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police say they've arrested a 14-year-old boy who's believed to have been the gunman in a shooting outside the National Zoo that injured two young men.

The shooting occurred on April 21 after the zoo's annual Easter Monday family event. A gunman fired several shots, and two 18-year-old men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The unidentified teen was arrested on Saturday and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Police say their investigation has shown there was only one gunman in the incident.

Police say zoo police and officials, Metro police and Prince George's County police were among those who assisted in the investigation.
