Motorcyclist Dead After Crash In Prince George's Co.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Police in Prince George's County are investigating after a motorcyclist died in a crash with an SUV.

Police say officers were called Saturday around 6 p.m. to the intersection of Central Avenue and Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights.

Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the driver of the SUV was making a turn onto Cindy Lane and failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified him as Allen Joseph Washington, 24, of southeast Washington.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt and stayed on the scene after the crash.
