Michael Schottey Of Bleacher Report Joined Scott And Jeremy

Michael Schottey of Bleacher Report joined Scott and Jeremy on Wednesday to discus the NFL offseason and the upcoming season with training camp opening in about a month.

The Ravens were recently linked to All-Pro Cornerback Brandon Flowers. The black and purple weren't able to land Flowers who went to San Diego. Michael talked about what the Chargers got in the veteran corner. "It's a pretty big signing especially since they were able to get him for basically a one year show me deal. Brandon Flowers is a good cornerback, people forget that since he didn't do well last year. The league is moving toward bigger cornerbacks and so are the Chiefs. And Brandon Flowers is not big. So he didn't fit into the Chiefs plans any longer."

Scott asked Michael to give his thoughts on the AFC North. He believes that the division is up for grabs. "This is the season of unbridled offense, every team got better. When you tell every teams fan base that they didn't get as better at the same rate as the teams around them, well you don't want to do that. So I think the AFC North is just wide open. Im interested to see what they are like without their coordinators. They have a ton of talent but Andy Dalton has to steer that ship. You got Baltimore who is a lot better than the team last year. So I think you have the Bengals and the Ravens fighting it out for the division. Pittsburgh, the sky is the limit. They could 12 or 13 games or they could win five or six. And then you have Cleveland who even if Manziel pans out, is still a year or two away I think."

And Jeremy was curious about any surprise teams that could be on the bubble. He believes that something could be brewing in upstate New York with the Buffalo Bills. "This is a team that has run into so much offensive talent. You finally have a team that is built around the team of CJ Spiller. If you can get Manuel to facilitate the offense then they have a better chance then the Jets."
