1 Dead, Body Of 1 Of 2 Missing Boaters Found After Two Separate Accidents

BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ) --The body of one of two missing boaters has been found. The Coast Guard says one boater remains missing and a third is dead following two separate accidents in the Baltimore area.

The Guard's Baltimore detachment said Tuesday morning it has suspended its search pending further developments for 40-year-old James Jones after he failed to return from an outing in Cunninghill Cove near Middle River Monday evening.

The Guard says a good Samaritan located the missing man's boat anchored approximately two miles from Pooles Island with no one aboard.

Coast Guard Spokesman David Marin said it is not known whether Jones' disappearance was related to Monday's line of storms.

In a separate incident, authorities reported recovering the body of 42-year-old Brigette Marchand of Annapolis on Monday morning after she and a companion were reported missing near the Francis Scott Key Bridge near Baltimore.

Tuesday afternoon, the body of her companion, 40-year-old David Frantzen, was found.

Coast Guard crews found the boat that Frantzen and the woman had been aboard on Monday afternoon at Sparrows Point, where it had run aground. Frantzen and the woman are believed to have left the boat on Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon.
