Aaron Nagler Talks NFL Predictions on Scott and Jeremy

NFL writer Aaron Nagler joins Scott and Jeremy to discuss his potential surprise sleepers in the NFL this season, and the friction that remains between the Packers and Brett Favre.

Predicting the NFL's division winners from season to season is often a completely random stab in the dark. While most predictions involve the teams with the best quarterbacks winning, Nagler has a surprising take on the AFC West.

"I am very much in love with the Chargers' prospects for 2014. I know that sounds crazy," said Nagler. "I think they're going about it the right way. I know they didn't make a lot of moves, but McCoy has them pointed in the right direction."

Nagler is referring to the process of developing their own players, rather than signing what could seem to be patchwork talent.

The Falcons seem to have done the same things with their offensive and defensive line units, building them through the draft.

"With the Falcons, it was really everything going on with the offensive and defensive lines. You can have all the skill players in the world, but you need it in the trenches," said Nagler.

Both of the aforementioned teams play in extremely competitive divisions, but mostly due to a surplus of talent, rather than mediocrity across the board, which is the case in the NFC East.

"I think the Eagles are probably the most complete team in the NFC East--actually a super bowl contender to me," Nagler claimed. "Conversely, I think Dallas will be in the bottom five defensively, and that will really be their downfall."
