Man Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison For Fraud Scheme
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore man was sentenced to two years in prison for wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering.
Steven Riley also must pay $400,000 in restitution.
Police say Riley is a "booster," or someone who steals for a living and then sells those items to someone else, typically at discounted rates.
Police say he stole merchandise throughout the Baltimore metro area from several large retail stores and then returned them in exchange for gift cards.
