Dog Shot Twice In Md. Adopted By Vet Who Saved Its Life

WHEATON, Md. (WJZ)--A Montgomery County dog is getting a second chance at life thanks to some helping hearts.

Ruby, a 9-month-old boxer mix, was shot twice in Wheaton last week.

Responding officers rushed her to an animal hospital, where she underwent successful life-saving surgery.

Ruby has since been adopted by the doctor who helped save her life.

The shooting that left Ruby injured is still under investigation.
