$45,000 Reward On The Table To Find Killer Of 3-Year-Old Md. Girl

LANDOVER, Md. (WJZ) -- A massive manhunt is underway to find the killer of a three-year-old Maryland girl. Davon Wallace has been on the run since early last month. The FBI is raising the stakes, with a $45,000 reward now on the table.

Christie Ileto explains the little girl's family is furious that Wallace still hasn't been caught.

Wallace has eluded police for weeks. Now with new money and a new campaign, Knijah Bibb's family is hoping justice will soon follow.

An August memorial. A killer still on the loose. Karla Mack wonders when three-year-old Knijah Bibb will get justice.

"I'm mad I had to lose my little cousin," said Mack. "My family should not have to keep suffering like that. My cousin should not have to keep worrying about if this man is still out."

"We will not stop until Davon Wallace is apprehended," said Chief Mark Magaw, Prince George's County Police.

Prince George's County Police and now the feds are helping to hunt down Davon Wallace. He's accused of spraying Mack's Landover home with bullets following a fight with a 16-year-old outside. The August shooting killed Knijah, who was standing on the second floor.

A $45,000 reward is now on the table and jail time for anyone helping Wallace.

"We know, again, someone out there knows where Wallace is hiding," said Special Agent Stephen Vogt, FBI.

Police fear Wallace may have even crossed state lines into Richmond, Virginia or Winston Salem, North Carolina. His face will be plastered on digital billboards up and down Interstate 95.

Neighbors are infuriated he won't come clean.

"Be a man," Willie Duehart said. "Why you running? You should have thought about that before you did what you did."

Knijah's family is skeptical Wallace has even left his Landover roots. They have more questions than answers.

"I just don't understand because somebody should have turned him in by now. How can you help a murder?"

They are trying to make sense of the reckless violence and a killer acting like a coward.

Police have already arrested one person allegedly helping Wallace before and after the fatal shooting.

Knijah's murder followed the deadly shooting of another three-year-old, McKenzie Elliott, in Baltimore. City police have a person of interest in that case.
