FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) — A high school math teacher in Frostburg faces allegations he had sexual contact with a 17-year-old female student.

Police say 42-year-old Bart Mazer of Frostburg was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree sex offense.

Mazer couldn’t’ be reached for comment. His home telephone number was out of service and no defense attorney was listed in court records.

Mazer allegedly had sexual contact with the girl at his home last October and November. She has since graduated.

The school’s website lists Mazer as a teacher of geometry, algebra and integrated math. The Allegany County Public School System says Mazer is on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
