We Won't Stop: Birdland Still Celebrating After O's Clinch A.L. East

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The magic continues! Orioles fans are still flying high after the team clinched the AL East championship Tuesday night. Wednesday night, the champions took the field for the first time in front of their home crowd.

Meghan McCorkell has more.

The Orioles are painting the town orange. City Hall is all lit up to celebrate the new AL East champions.

The thrill of victory still fills the stands at Camden Yards. A sea of orange as the AL East champions took the field.

"I'm so excited!" said one fan.

Riding high from a championship win, fans of the orange and black are going batty.

"The fans are incredible. What they do for the fans are incredible. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world," said Sarah Robinson, Orioles bird lady.

Hot off the presses---the East Division championship shirts are selling out.

"We've been getting calls nonstop all day," said Robert Andelman, Nightmare Graphics.

Fans flocked to the MLB store Wednesday to get their hands on some championship gear.

And fans say we won't stop until we make it all the way to the World Series.

"I'm 100% confident. We're going all the way," a fan said.

From the young to the young at heart, everyone is getting into the action.

"I've been a fan since I was a kid and my dad was bringing me to Memorial Stadium," said Steve Lazarewicz.

Orioles magic is now passed down through generations.

Marcus Washington explains how other people are celebrating the big victory.

Orioles magic is surely being felt across Baltimore, and people surely can wear it proudly.

"Hasn't been this way in 17 years for the Orioles." a t-shirt vendor said. "We started printing yesterday. We've got getting calls nonstop all day."

With the Orioles being so hot after Tuesday night's win, you have to find a place to cool off.

"We were ready. We were ready for the Orioles to clinch. We made an ice cream flavor yesterday in hopes that today we could serve it," an employee at The Charmery said.

From Hampden to Ellicott City,

"I am psyched. I am so excited," one O's fan said.

"I'm ready for the next step to go on and on," said another fan.

What better place to go than Skinner's Barbershop in Randallstown.

"They found somebody in that farm system. What's next for me is just who are they going to play?" an O's fan said.

According to the Orioles, not only are ticket sales up, they're also getting deposits for tickets next season.
