D.C. Streetcars To Begin No-Passenger Rides
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The District of Columbia's streetcar line is moving closer to the start of operations.
The District Department of Transportation says the streetcar is expected to begin simulated service, without passengers, on Monday.
Officials say the streetcars will run at their projected hours along H Street and Benning Road in northeast Washington, but passengers won't be allowed on the cars.
In August, transportation officials began training streetcar operators in traffic for the first time.
