JESSUP, Md. (AP/WJZ) — Firefighters searched through 15 tons of trash after a man who was found in a load of trash in a truck claimed that several of his relatives might be in trash at a landfill.

Lt. Russ Davies, Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman, tells The Capital of Annapolis that the man was found about 10:50 a.m. Thursday in a load while it was being dumped at a landfill in Jessup.

Davies says the man told firefighters that 10 to 14 of his relatives might be in trash at the landfill. Sixty firefighters from several jurisdictions searched through trash for about 90 minutes. No one was found, Davies said.

The man was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Davies says it is not known how he got into the trash truck.
