ANNAPOLIS, Md (WJZ) — A coastal flood advisory is in effect until  6p.m. tonight for Annapolis and parts of Anne Arundel County.

A coastal flood watch will begin at 6 p.m. and will be in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday.

High tides of up to two feet above normal are expected this afternoon and tonight.

According to Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides’ office, the public works crew will be placing barricades near flood prone areas.
