BALTIMORE (AP) — Top educators are being honored in Maryland.
The 24th Annual Maryland Teacher of the Year Gala is scheduled for Friday evening in Baltimore. The awards ceremony honors 24 educators from each of the state’s local school districts.

The finalists come from Cecil County, Frederick County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Somerset County, Talbot County and Washington County.
