Anne Arundel County Officers Arrest Police Impersonator

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested a man they say has impersonated an officer multiple times.

According to police, they were called to The Office Bar on Mountain Road for a report of a disorderly subject. When they arrived, they learned the suspect had been involved in an altercation with employees.

The suspect, who has been identified as Ronald Santos, showed the employees a badge and said he was law enforcement. The employees didn't believe him and called police.

Santos showed police the same badge and told them he had left his official credentials at home.

Santos was arrested for impersonating a police officer. When officers searched his car, they found a pellet-style handgun in a black holster.

During an interview, Santos said he was "obsessed" with being a police officer and admitted to impersonating an officer before. A search of his home found red and blue police LED lights.

Santos has been charged with two counts of impersonating a police officer.
