National Aquarium In Baltimore Welcomes Baby Turtles
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Tiny turtles signal a gigantic accomplishment for the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
A baby big-headed Amazon River turtle and three others have hatched in the aquarium's River Forest exhibit.
It's a first. Never before has that breed been bred in a North American collection.
The aquarium has a pair of adults. When they noticed the female laying eggs, they gathered them for incubation and now they've hatched.
