Penn State Head Coach James Franklin On Facing The Terps For The First Time Tomorrow

James Franklin is currently the head coach of Penn State, previously he was the head coach at Vanderbilt and was once the head coach in waiting at Maryland under Ralph Friedgen.

Coach Franklin joined Ed and Steve to talk about the game tomorrow between Maryland and Penn State.

Coach Franklin started by talking about facing Maryland and if he has any nostalgic feelings for the Terps saying "I had a great experience at Maryland and will be forever grateful for the opportunity they gave me...I root for them every game but one." On recruiting while he was at Maryland Coach Franklin said "Penn State was a challenge and Penn State was frustrating, that's one of the big reasons why we came here...we'd do everything right in recruiting we'd recruit kids for 2 years but then the kid would play in the PSU spring game in front of 75,000 and sign with Penn State." Coach Franklin also talked about how this season has gone for Penn State so far and recruiting now that he is a part of Penn State.
