Man Gets Life Sentence In Slaying Over Dice Game
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- An Annapolis man convicted of first-degree murder in a shooting after a dice game has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
Twenty-six-year-old Clarence Eugene Johnson III was sentenced Wednesday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
Clarence Johnson was convicted of killing 33-year-old Joseph Johnson III of Brooklyn. The Johnsons were not related.
Prosecutors say Clarence Johnson and Joseph Johnson were shooting dice on Dec. 12, 2012, in a home in Annapolis when Clarence Johnson asked for the money he had lost back.
Authorities say when Joseph Johnson refused, Clarence Johnson left, came back with a gun and shot Joseph Johnson in the head.
Prosecutors say Clarence Johnson also shot a woman, who survived.
