UMBC Soccer Coach Pete Caringi On His Teams Run To The Elite Eight Of The NCAA Tournament
Pete Caringi is the Head Coach of the UMBC soccer team.
Coach Caringi joined Ed and Steve to talk about his team's magical run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament.
Coach Caringi started off talking about the run in the tournament so far saying "it has been incredible to go into those tough venues and come away with the results it's been incredible for sure." As for how they've built the program Coach Caringi said "we've been fortunate to go on some great runs lately, we only lost one game last year and were a referees call away from the Sweet Sixteen." Coach Caringi also talked about how he has used recruiting the youth of this area to his advantage and how his seniors have put it all together. Coach Caringi also talked about this area's soccer athletes saying "it's one of the bests...soccer has been here for years and has a great reputation for this area, one of the hot beds for sure."
