New Year, New Resolutions

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- While we went out to hear about your resolutions, I got a jump start on mine.

As the lights fade on another year, my eyes are glued to these lights on my FitBit pedometer.

My 2015 resolution: 10,000 steps a day.

Much to my photographer's dismay, we set out to pound the pavement to hear your goals for the new year, too.

To be closer to family, do better in school, to play for music.

Some resolutions aiming high: Peace all over, to be less selfish and more giving, breaking up with technology to live more in the moment.

Others -- a little less so.

Shorter showers, not fight with siblings, some have even decided to take some old resolutions off the ice.

"My new years resolution this year is definitely to eat healthier and pick up on those new years resolutions from last year I didn't finish," Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said.

A focus on fitness is at the top of the list.

"On my bucket list is to run a marathon, so I'm contemplating that," another person said.

So cheers to a perfect 2015. Happy New Years!

We've got 365 days and 3,650,000 steps to get it right.
