Fans Travel Near And Far To Support Ravens
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)--Ravens fans continue to celebrate as the team heads to game 2 of the playoffs this Saturday.
WJZ's Marcus Washington has more on how fans are keeping the party going.
The fun spot for Ravens fans came in an unusual place Wednesday as the Flock Party stopped by Smyth Jewelry in Ellicott City.
"Any time the Ravens are within a 300 mile radius, I am there," said Any Timmons.
And boy did fans turn out meeting and getting up close with Ravens cheerleaders and former Ravens players.
"And this is a positive thing and it's great for Maryland and I support them 100%," said Pat Danna.
Fans say an event like this is the fuel needed to keep the fan and the momentum going between each game.
"It's just phenomenal how it continues to grow and grow and that the community has embraced the organization obviously embraced our fans greatly, unlike any other city," said Brad Jackson, former Ravens' linebacker.
Inside the Flock Party, fans not only able to meet former Ravens players, but one lucky fan will get a football autographed by Joe Flacco.
The fanfare started at M & T Bank Stadium at 6:00 a.m. where fans traveled near and far.
"I left at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, took three and a half hours and here I am," said Todd Conway. "I will turn around and go back, and go back to work."
Todd Conway drove from Flanders New Jersey all the way to Downtown Baltimore.
"Specifically drove for this event," said Conway.
To join hundreds of fans who wanted the Ravens logo on their vehicle.
"I got my logos all around. I got one here, one there, on in the back and two other the other side. We're going to represent, so I'm pretty excited."
A feeling that fans are holding on for the ride.
