Baltimore County Restaurant Week Is Here

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- When does a week actually last sixteen days? Well it's time for Baltimore County Restaurant Week. Ron Matz has more on the meals and the deals you can enjoy starting on Friday.

The kitchen is busy at the family owned Pappas restaurant in Cockeysville. The menu is packed with great food including, their famous colossal crab-cake.

Managing partner, Justin Windle says the week brings in a lot of new diners.

"We fill the chairs with newer patrons, some people who might not normally check us out, but because it's restaurant week, they want to try Pappas restaurant... especially our new location and see what we have to offer," Windle said.

Most restaurants offer lunch or dinner at bargain prices.

"Just to give people in the county a break from prices," executive chef from the Milton Inn, Brian Boston said. "It gives them the opportunity to enjoy several restaurant during a couple week period."

IL Basilico is one of more than fifty restaurants taking part.

"Very, very happy. We always participate in restaurant week. I have noticed through the years we have more and more people. They love it," Anna DiPierno with Il Basilico said.

One of the best parts of Baltimore County Restaurant Week, is that it actually lasts sixteen days. That includes three weekends.

"I think it's a fabulous thing for me as a consumer too," Windle said. "I can go out with my wife, enjoy a nice meal, a fun new restaurant I might not check out and three weekends to do it."

Menu  prices for lunch or dinner range from $15.14 to $35.14. Check out a complete list of the participating restaurants and a look at their menus.
