Del. Man Found Incompetent In Md. Officers' Home Shootings

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A Delaware man sentenced to 106 years in prison for shooting into a police officer's home as two children slept has been found incompetent to stand trial in similar shootings in Maryland.

David Watson of Laurel faces 60 charges in three shootings at the homes of police officers in Wicomico County.

The Daily Times reports that the 26-year-old was found incompetent to stand trial in December. A review hearing has been set in his case in Wicomico County Circuit Court for June 12.

In 2012, Watson was convicted of shooting into the home of a Dewey Beach officer whose two sons were sleeping in bedrooms on the floor where the shots were fired.

Police believe Watson also fired shots at three officers' homes in Wicomico County in December 2012.
